Rashay Layman is a distinguished public relations professional who has established a career characterized by advocacy and strategic leadership. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, she began her journey at Thomas Worthington High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business from Muskingum College. Her career took off with influential roles at organizations like Working America and the Sierra Club, where she led initiatives focused on energy policies and environmental advocacy.

After taking time away from her career to raise two children, Rashay returned to the workforce with renewed drive, earning an MBA and moving into the energy sector, where she managed large-scale utility projects. Demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit, she founded Sown Strategies, a consulting firm that specializes in public relations, stakeholder engagement, and land use. Her expertise continues to shine as she currently serves as the Senior Public Relations Manager at ESA.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Rashay is actively engaged in her community as a Girl Scout troop leader and previously served on the board of CHOICE, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting homebirth options. Balancing her career and family, she finds immense joy in motherhood and remains deeply committed to making a positive impact both at work and in her community.
